Closings Expected In Ohio Bathtub Drowning Trial

Lebanon, Ohio (AP) -- The prosecution and defense are set to present closing arguments in the case of an Ohio man accused of drowning his wife in a bathtub.

28 year-old Ryan Widmer is charged with aggravated murder in the august death of 24 year-old Sarah Widmer.

The jury is expected to begin deliberating Wednesday.

Ryan Widmer faces 20 years to life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors say he drowned his wife in the bathtub of their home in Warren County's Hamilton Township, north of Cincinnati.

They say bruises on her neck indicated a violent struggle.

A defense attorney says Sarah Widmer could have fallen asleep in the bathtub or suffered a seizure or other medical problem.

The defense says attempts to revive her caused the neck bruises.
