Cincinnati (AP) -- A November trial has been scheduled for a registered sex offender charged in the strangulation death of a Cincinnati teenager last month.
40 old Anthony Kirkland has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder in the death of 13-year-old Esme Kenney.
Police say they found him March 8 near the girl's partly burned body in woods near her home.
Trial was set for Nov. 2 when Kirkland appeared Wednesday in Hamilton County common pleas court.
A judge ordered him held on $5.3 million bond.
Kirkland also is charged in the 2006 deaths of a woman and a teenager.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
