Snow Interrupts Springtime In Great Lakes States

Cleveland (AP) -- A storm that dumped almost 8 inches of snow on parts of Michigan is now blanketing areas in northeast Ohio.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Tom King in Cleveland says the heaviest snow has been seen in the Cleveland suburb of Broadview Heights, which has received a little more than 6 inches so far.

The Cleveland area and counties to the east are under a lake effect snow warning, with forecasters saying some parts of the region could see up to a foot of snow by the time the storm tapers off late tonight.

Because of the snow, the Ohio Department of Transportation has postponed until Thursday a news conference scheduled for today to discuss summer construction projects.
