Ohio Court Sets Two Additional Execution Dates

Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- The Ohio Supreme Court has set execution dates for two more condemned killers as the state picks up the pace of its capital punishment cases.

The court on Wednesday set a July 14 execution date for John Fautenberry, convicted of murdering a hitchhiker in Hamilton County in 1991 during a multistate killing spree.

The court also set an Aug. 18 execution date for Jason Getsy, sentenced to death for fatally shooting a woman in a murder-for-hire scheme in Trumbull County in 1995.

Another death row inmate, Daniel Wilson of Elyria near Cleveland, is scheduled to die June 3 for kidnapping a female friend, locking her in the trunk of his car and burning her alive in 1991.

Two other requests for executions are pending before the State Supreme Court.
