Ohio Stimulus Money To Help Pay For Vaccines

Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio is getting $7.5 million in federal stimulus money to help uninsured and low-income families pay for vaccinations.

The money is Ohio's share of $300 million that the federal government is giving to states to increase immunizations.

Dr. Alvin Jackson, Director of the Ohio Department of Health, said Friday the state will order vaccines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Vaccines will be shipped directly to local health departments, federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics and private providers.
