Akron, Ohio (AP) -- A mother and adult son whose bodies were found buried behind their burned-out home in northeast Ohio were killed with blows about the head.
The medical examiner in Akron says autopsies done monday show 64-year-old Patricia Knudson died of blows to the head and her son, 42-year-old John, suffered fatal blows to the head and neck.
Both deaths were ruled homicide.
The bodies were found Saturday.
The two had been missing for six days after fire destroyed their home, which had been foreclosed days earlier.
The son and brother of the victims has been charged with aggravated arson and police in Hudson say they expect more charges as the investigation continues.
Defense attorney Donald Hicks says he cannot comment on the case.
