Morgantown, WV (AP) -- A lawyer for an FBI police officer accused of spying on girls as they tried on prom dresses at a charity event says his client is innocent and expects to be acquitted.
Gary Sutton Jr. Of New Milton is a 12-year veteran security officer for the FBI in West Virginia.
His attorney, Garth Beck, says Sutton's record is spotless.
Beck says Sutton is a christian and a father who is mortified by the allegations.
Sutton is charged with conspiracy and criminal invasion of privacy.
He is on paid leave.
The other officer charged, Charles Hommema of Buckhannon, was being arraigned Tuesday.
His lawyer was not immediately available.
Beck says an FBI camera at a satellite control room in a mall recorded girls in open-topped dressing rooms, but it wasn't deliberate.
