Charleston, WV (AP) -- Gov. Joe Manchin has vetoed his first bill of 2009 but is asking legislators to try again.
Manchin says a technical error in its wording prompted him to disapprove legislation updating state law governing the regulatory board for medical imaging and radiation therapy technology.
The measure passed during the session that ended earlier this month.
The Governor vetoed it Wednesday.
But he also encouraged lawmakers to fix the flaw and again pass the measure.
The house and senate will get that chance at next month's session for completing the new state budget.
