Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- State and federal flags at state facilities will be lowered in honor of law enforcement officers killed or disabled in the line of duty.
Gov. Joe Manchin said Thursday he ordered the flags to fly at half-staff Friday in observance of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Several ceremonies are scheduled around the state Friday.
Police agencies from Monongalia County and state police officials will place a wreath at the Morgantown Public Safety Building at 10 a.m. The FBI has scheduled a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at its Criminal Justice Information Services Division complex in Clarksburg.
