Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia's Public Employees Insurance Agency is giving more state residents a chance to weigh in on a proposed end to subsidized retiree benefits.

The agency has added public hearings July 6 in Morgantown and July 7 in Huntington to a four-city roster announced last week.

The agency's finance board is deciding whether to stop subsidizing health coverage for public retirees, starting with those hired in 2010.

Also up for discussion is the proposed transfer of some 35,000 current retirees back into the agency's main plan.

Hearings are already set for June 22 in Beckley, June 23 in Martinsburg, June 29 in Charleston and June 30 in Wheeling.

Each two-hour hearing starts at 6 P.M. Registration begins a half-hour beforehand.
