Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- A $522,500 federal grant will help the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Beckley boost its home-based health care and vocational rehabilitation services.
U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall announced Wednesday that the appropriation will be used to design an 8,000-square-foot addition, which should be complete by 2011.
Hospital director Karin McGraw says the additional space will enable the hospital to augment its home-based and vocational services for veterans.
