Beech Bottom, W.Va. (AP) -- The Brooke County Sheriff's Department says a body has been recovered from the Ohio River south of Beech Bottom.
WTOV of Steubenville, Ohio reported the discovery Wednesday. The body was found Tuesday afternoon and deputies say the victim apparently had been in the water several weeks.
The body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office for identification. Deputies suspect the body is that of a man who jumped from the Market Street Bridge between Steubenville, Ohio, and Weirton on March 8.
