WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Former West Virginia Delegate and state Racing Commission chairman Harry Buch dies at age 83.
Kepner Funeral Home says Buch died Saturday at his home.
The funeral home's obituary says Buch served in the House of Delegates from 1958 to 1964. He served two terms as chairman of the West Virginia Racing Commission, from 1969 to 1978 and 1984 and 1989.
Buch assisted in the establishment of the West Virginia Breeder's Classic and served as a member of its board from 1988 to 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Griffith Buch, and six children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Wheeling.
