Holiday Tree Honoring W.Va.'s First Responders

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A holiday tree honoring the state's first responders is planned for the state Capitol.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and first lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin on Wednesday invited people to contribute photos of friends and loved ones who are firefighters, police officers and emergency medical workers.

Photos must be received by Nov. 27 and cannot be returned. Forms that accompany the photos can be downloaded through the website . Forms and photos can be submitted by email to

The "First Responders Recognition" tree will be on display during the holiday season in the Governor's Reception Room in Charleston.
