CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Jacob Winowich will be the next executive director of the West Virginia Democratic Party.
Winowich will replace Derek Scarbro, who's stepping down this month.
Winowich currently is the state party's voter file manager. He began working for the state party as a field organizer in August 2011.
Before joining the West Virginia party, Winowich worked for the Democratic Party of New Mexico as opposition research director.
State Democratic chairman Larry Puccio announced Winowich's appointment Tuesday.
