CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia manufacturer is planning to expand its presence in Kanawha County, creating 34 jobs by the end of next year.
NGK Sparkplugs officials said Tuesday that the company plans to add an 11,000-square-foot facility to its Sissonville campus.
Media outlets report that the expansion comes as the company plans to begin producing M12 sparkplugs and ZFAS oxygen sensors for vehicles. Those products essentially will help vehicles run better and have better fuel efficiency.
Construction is expected to begin in February and be completed by September. The assembly line should be up and running by the end of 2013.
