CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The National Weather Service has put eight eastern counties in West Virginia on notice that a new storm could bring more snow to the state.

The weather service says the system could hit Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan and Pendleton counties on Wednesday and Thursday.

The weather service says the exact track of the storm remains undetermined, but there is the potential for several inches of snow along with gusty winds and rain-induced flooding.

Superstorm Sandy brought high winds, heavy snow, stream flooding and power outages to various parts of the region last week.
