New W.V. Senate President Keeps Leadership Team

CHARLESTON, W.V. (AP) - Senate President Jeff Kessler is keeping the leadership team he assembled during his nearly yearlong tenure as the body's acting president.

The Marshall County Democrat announced Monday that there will be no changes to the leadership team and major committee chairs.

The leadership team members are President Pro Tempore Joe Minard, Majority Leader John Unger and Majority Whip Richard Browning.

Kessler reappointed Sen. Corey Palumbo as Judiciary chairman, Sen. Roman Prezioso as Finance chairman, Sen. Herb Snyder as Government Organization chairman, Sen. Ron Stollings as Health and Human Resources chairman and Robert Plymale as Education chairman.

Kessler was elected Senate president on Nov. 12.
