CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - The trial of a Massachusetts woman accused of posing as a 17-year-old boy to prey on a West Virginia girl is now set for Nov. 16 in Clarksburg.
Prosecutors had asked U.S. District Judge Irene Keeley to postpone the trial after the social networking site MySpace failed to respond to multiple search warrants that could produce important evidence. She granted the request last week.
Twenty-five-year-old Carissa Hads of Quincy has pleaded not guilty to on one count of traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say MySpace has ignored several warrants seeking communications between Hads and the victim.
Investigators say Hads visited the teen at least three times and had a sexual encounter with her in February.
