Obama, Romney Make Their Final Pitches In Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Thousands of people have lined up to see President Barack Obama deliver his final election pitch in the battleground state of Ohio.

Obama was scheduled to appear Monday afternoon at Nationwide Arena near downtown Columbus along with rocker Bruce Springsteen and rapper Jay Z.

Obama supporter Jennifer Walker says she took the day off to see Obama. The 38-year-old nurse says she supports the president because of his push for the federal health care overhaul.

Walker and others stood in lines curling around several city blocks. A small group of abortion protesters gathered nearby.

GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney also was scheduled for a Columbus appearance Monday along with country rock performers The Marshall Tucker Band.
