WHEELING, W.V. (AP) - Crews are preparing Oglebay Park in Wheeling for the annual Winter Festival of Lights.
The light display will open Nov. 11 and run through Jan. 8. This year's festival has 75 displays, including several new ones. The additions include a Ferris wheel and a Conestoga wagon.
Festival of Lights supervisor Harry Himrod tells The Intelligencer and Wheeling News Register that nearly 70 percent of the 75 displays now use energy-efficient LED lights. The transition from older lights to LED lights began three years ago.
