MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Members of a central Ohio church lost to what officials say was arson held a weekend service in an elementary school gymnasium.
WBNS-TV reports the New Horizons Baptist Church in Marysville held Sunday service five days after the church was destroyed. It has received instruments from a church in Michigan as well as office equipment from others.
Police say a Pennsylvania man drove a stolen car into the building, set it on fire and watched it from a nearby playground swing.
On Sunday, Pastor Roger Williams delivered a message of hope and forgiveness, and church members say they feel no hatred for the suspect.
Member Lori Smith noted, "our congregation is still intact and nothing has taken that away."
