LANCASTER, Ohio (AP) - Investigators are looking for the missing owner of a central Ohio home destroyed by fire.
The state fire marshal's office says in a news release that family and friends haven't heard from 49-year-old Mark A. Johnson since Sunday. Fire officials say the Fairfield County home where Johnson lived with his two children is a total loss from a fire Monday night. The children were not home at the time.
The burned remains of a goat were discovered in the ashes but no trace of Johnson, and his vehicles were found at the home.
Berne Township fire Capt. Mike Baker tells the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette that authorities don't know where the fire started. Investigators also are trying to determine what caused it.
