Swing State Ohio Is Second Stop On Obama Jobs Tour

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama will visit the politically important state of Ohio on Tuesday to continue selling his job-creation plan.

The White House announced Thursday, hours before Obama was to outline details in a nationally televised speech to Congress, that he would be making Columbus, Ohio, the second stop on a tour to rally the public behind his ideas to create jobs and boost the economy.

Obama's sales tour begins Friday, the day after the speech, with a trip to Richmond, Va. Portions of Virginia's capital city are represented by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who is one of Obama's sharpest Republican critics in Congress.

Obama won swing state Ohio in the 2008 presidential election.
