CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - About two dozen vendors will offer a "Taste of West Virginia" in the nation's capital.
Tuesday evening's event at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., is sponsored by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce. It will offer guests a sampling of West Virginia food, along with live musical entertainment and information about the state's businesses, universities and organizations.
The state's congressional delegation also will participate in a ceremony to celebrate West Virginia's pepperoni roll being voted America's favorite state food in CQ Roll Call's "Taste of America" competition. The pepperoni roll beat out 64 other foods from all 50 states in online balloting that brought in more than half a million votes.
