CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Hallie Mason left Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's administration as public policy director.

Tomblin announced Mason's departure Wednesday.

Mason says she's excited to spend more time with family and explore new job opportunities.

Mason has served on Tomblin's senior staff since 2010. Before that she was a lobbyist for various business interests and spent nine years as a budget analyst with the House finance committee.
