CHARLESTON, W.V. (AP) - West Virginia's Legislature should estimate the number of jobs gained or lost from each regulation it passes.
That's one of several proposals that the Republican minority in the House of Delegates plans to pursue this session.
An intermediate appeals court and drug testing for people receiving welfare-type benefits are also on the agenda.
GOP delegates unveiled their proposals Tuesday. The Legislature's 60-day regular session begins Wednesday.
The House Republican agenda proposes cutting taxes. Increased revenues expected from Marcellus shale natural gas drilling would offset revenue losses.
They're also targeting the federal health care overhaul, and a state law that aims to increase electricity production by alternative and renewable energy sources.
GOP delegates must seek at least some bipartisan support for their proposals. Democrats occupy 65 of the House's 100 seats.
