CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia is opening a new welcome center on Interstate 70 in Ohio County near the Pennsylvania line.
Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox says in a news release that the welcome center on the interstate's westbound side will open at 3 p.m. Friday. It soon will offer public Wi-Fi access.
The 18-month project cost more than $2.5 million and included construction of the welcome center, a maintenance building and a vending building. The old welcome center was demolished.
