CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A program that helps low-income West Virginia households pay utility bills is taking applications.
The West Virginia Utility Assistance Program provides grants to maintain or restore gas, electric and water service. Program officials said Monday that applications for grants will be taken until funds are depleted.
The utility assistance program is an initiative of the nonprofit Dollar Energy Fund. Eligibility guidelines and application instructions are available on the fund's website, www.dollarenergyfund.org .
