A well known West Virginia businessman and philanthropist dies.

James "Buck" Harless was 94.

He started out as a coal miner and worked his way up, building Gilbert Lumber into a multimillion dollar conglomerate.

He was also a prominent donor to many organizations, including West Virginia University and Marshall University.

Harless is a member of the the West Virginia Coal Hall of Fame and the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame.
