The Daughters of American Pioneers put on the second annual Fall Foliage-Historic Driving tour Sunday afternoon.

Residents got the chance to see some historic homes and landmarks throughout Wood and Wirt Counties.

They got to see such places as the the New Era School, Cooper Home and the Bibbee Farm.

The organization is raising money for the Cooper Cabin, New Era School and Beauchamp Museum.

The McClung-Morgan House, Sweet Briar and Dr. W.W. Monroe Jr's home were among the other places being toured.

"Well it's giving folks a chance to see a couple places like the Bibbee Farm and my home that had never been on tour before and so it gets people out and do enjoy the beautiful fall foliage this time of the year," says Local Historian, Patty Cooper.

The Daughters of American Pioneers raised about $300 last year.

They hope to raise more than that amount at this year's Fall Foliage-Historical Driving Tour.
