UPDATE 11-2-13 7:02 PM

Mon Power crews in Vienna were back to work Saturday, repairing and replacing downed power lines damaged from Friday's overnight storm.

Motorists traveling along Grand Central avenue were again forced to take a detour, as all lanes of traffic were closed for about 45-minutes between 11 and noon.

Workers replaced power lines on the east and west side of Grand Central.

Drivers were detoured to 16th Street, where they crossed 9th Avenue onto 19th Street, and then back to Grand Central.

UPDATE 11/1/2013 5:00 PM

It spared most of the area but where the overnight storm hit, it really did some damage

In Vienna some streets - including Grand Central Avenue - were blocked by downed trees and power lines.

There were power outages but they weren't widespread.

Grand Central Mall wasn't affected, and the Grand Pointe complex was doing business.

But Mon Power crews were busy all day repairing downed power lines between the 1600 and 1900 block of Grand Central Avenue.

All lanes of Grand Central Avenue were re-opened around 4 Friday afternoon.

17th Street was blocked by downed trees and power lines.

"I have a window over my bed, and about 3 A.M., it started to rain on me," says Vienna resident Doris Brill. "I got up to put it down, and it was after that we discovered the tree was down."

And as of Friday afternoon, the Brill home was the only one on that street without power - perhaps an indication of this storm's limited effect on the area.

The Ohio Department of Transportation's road crews also were busy overnight clearing downed trees from several state and local roadways.

UPDATE 9:01 AM 1/1/13

Two lanes are now open on Grand Central Avenue.

According to The Vienna Police Department one northbound and one southbound lane are open between 16th and 19th on Grand Central Avenue.

Several blocks of Grand Central Avenue are closed Friday morning.

The Wood County Dispatch Center says it's because of high voltage power lines knocked down in the area.

Grand Central Avenue between 16th and 19th streets is completely shutdown this morning. Authorities say it will remained closed until this afternoon.

Dispatchers say the community isn't in danger as long as people stay away from the power lines.

Authorities believe the downed lines are a result of last night's storm.

They say power is down in the area, but as of now there are no major outages to report.
