The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta hosted the sixth annual Community Garden Class Sunday afternoon.

Garden lovers came out to learn a thing or two about planting fruits and veggies along with other great ideas.

Also for the first time, people got to try out organic foods prepared by members of the community.

Area representatives were there talking about ethical eating.

Rabbit and root vegetable stew, tomato and goat pasta and salad were among the dishes at the garden class.

"You feel healthier, you come away feeling nourished, you have more energy and more days in a roll that you eat greens based organic diet, the more your health is going to improve, the more energy you're going to have, the more you're going to want to do or you want to eat that way," says Dana Singer.

The Community Garden class will go on until February 16th.

It's held on Sundays at 1pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta on Putnam Street.
