The Blennerhassett Island played host to the annual Apple Butter Weekend Saturday afternoon.
Members of the Stillwell 4-H Group dressed in colonial style attire stirring apples into apple butter.
It's the same old fashion way many settlers did by using a copper kettle over an open fire.
People got to learn first hand on how to make the apple butter from scratch.
"Well I think the kids just really enjoy it because it shows what they're capable of doing because they're hardworking kids and it will show people and it's just the fun of being in a historical situation," says Kathy Kleinik of the Stillwell 4-H Group.
People also got free samples on the apple butter before buying it.
All proceeds will benefit the Stillwell 4-H Group.
