People in Marietta got a taste of history this afternoon.
The Betsy Mills Club held the annual Holiday Tour of Homes downtown.
Five homes were on the tour.
The Marietta College President's House and homeowners Nancy and Jeff Hollister were among the list on the holiday tour.
Tourists got to see the history behind the buildings.
They also see the homes decked out in holiday decorations by the homeowners.
From original wooden floors, major remodeling projects to family photos and furniture, it was an event worth going to.
"It's part of getting in the spirit for Christmas and enjoying the holidays. It's an important part of the community that we just get together and celebrate the season together," says Linda Lewis of the Betsy Mills Club.
Tourists got to enjoy free refreshments throughout the afternoon.
All proceeds will support the renovation project at Betsy Mills.
