A Ritchie County woman wins big money playing Powerball.

Katie Ivers, of Pullman won $1 million from Powerball.

She bought the lucky ticket at the Route 16 fuel center in Ellenboro and she picked her own numbers.

Ivers' ticket matched five numbers but missed the Powerball.

It's the sixth ticket sold in West Virginia this year to win a prize of $1 million or more.

Ivers said she is considering taking a vacation with her daughter and grandson in the future and plans to take care of her family's needs with her winnings.


Another million dollar lottery winner out of West Virginia.

And this time, with the ticket sold right here in the Valley.

The West Virginia Lottery says someone won a $1 million prize in Saturday's Powerball drawing.

The winner bought a ticket in Ellenboro that matched five numbers but missed the Powerball.

It's the sixth ticket sold in West Virginia to win a prize of $1 million or more this year.
