If Monday and Tuesday were any indication of the kind of winter it's going to be, then it looks like the thermostats will be kept on high.
So if you live in Washington or Morgan County and think you might need financial help with your heating costs, you can apply for the Winter Crisis Program.
Applications will be available starting Monday, November 3rd at the Community Action buildings in both counties.
To find out the location or if you're eligible, you can call 740-373-3745 for Washington County, and 740-962-3827 for Morgan County.
"We really would like to target the elderly and people with children to make sure they know it's available, so that they have heat and no one freezes to death or suffers," Mary Bayless, Senior Case Manager for Community Action, said.
The amount of money received for heating assistance depends on the number of people in the household.
