Lancaster, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio's Prisons Director says crowding at state correctional facilities is getting worse.

Terry Collins, who heads the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, says prisons across the state are at 132 percent of capacity.

He is pushing for sentencing reforms that he says will help.

He's scheduled to testify in the state senate on Wednesday.

During a recent tour of the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster, up to 268 men were seen packed into dorms outfitted with bunks stacked two high.

Towels, jackets and laundry bags hanging from the beds make the cramped space feel even tighter.
