Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- Voters in more than 130 towns and cities across West Virginia are heading to the polls.

Secretary of State Natalie E. Tennant says municipal elections are being held Tuesday in almost every county.

Most municipalities are using paper ballots and counting those ballots by hand.

Town leaders in Mason are unveiling a new electronic poll book to keep track of people who have voted.

Tennant says electronic poll books help reduce the change of voter impropriety and is faster and more efficient.
