Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- A long-running case ended today against a former Ohio Attorney General accused of running his office like "animal house" and spending campaign money on goodies for himself and his family.

Marc Dann wound up with a $1,000 fine and no criminal charges when the ohio elections commission accepted a deal struck by attorneys for Dann, his campaign committee and the state inspector general.

Dann resigned a year ago amid sexual harassment complaints against a top aide.

That led to revelations he had a mistress and had invited young female employees to his condo for drinks.

The state will drop all but one of the remaining charges against Dann.

He will acknowledge he used campaign money to buy airline tickets for his family.
