AT&T in Marietta launched the 4G LTE network Thursday, finally bringing the area up to speed with the rest of the nation in today's smartphone world.
Whether running a business or just streaming movies, AT&T says there's a big difference - it's ten times the speed of 3G.
"For our consumers, the schools, our students, and small businesses, we are able to deliver a much faster speed.. so they can do things quicker," says David Maciejewski, a retail account executive with AT&T.
Marietta Mayor Joe Matthews says he's happy about this announcement positively impacting local business as well as the oil and gas industry.
The mayor was joined by State Representative Andy Thompson and Senator Lou Gentile.
