July County-By-County And City-By-City Unemployment

Undated (AP) -- Williams County in Ohio's far northwest corner remains the county with the state's highest unemployment rate.

State officials say Williams reported joblessness of 17.5 percent for July.

Geauga County in northeast Ohio had the month's lowest rate, 7.4 percent.

On Friday, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported that the statewide unemployment rate for July was 11.2 percent, the highest since August 1983.

Youngstown had the highest unemployment among the state's largest cities last month, at 15.6 percent.

Cleveland Heights was lowest, with 7.1 percent.
