Huntington, W.Va. (AP) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says it's awarded 41 contracts worth $25.5 million for a series of projects in West Virginia.
The agency said Wednesday contracts awarded in recent months include construction of restrooms at Summersville Lake and playground equipment at Sutton Lake.
The list also includes a lighted walkway across the dam at Paintsville Lake, Ky., and structural work at Beach City Dam in Ohio.
All the projects are in the agency's Huntington district.
The Corps says funding for the projects was included in the $787 billion federal economic stimulus package passed last winter.
