Morgantown, W.Va. (Ap) -- To celebrate constitution day, the West Virginia University College of Law will dissect cases from the U.S. Supreme Court's term last year.
The event is 4 p.m. Thursday.
Professor Anne Lofasco will discuss two labor law rulings, including one that says it's legal for a union to charge nonmember public employees a service fee.
Professor Bob Bastress will discuss a case involving Virginia-based Massey Energy and a State Supreme Court Justice's failure to recuse himself from an appeal despite possible conflict of interest.
Professor Gerald Ashdown will discuss criminal law and procedure, including a ruling on post-conviction DNA evidence.
And professor Valorie Vojdki will discuss the case of a Muslim man detained after the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
