Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- Representatives from the three branches of government will join students in marking the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
Gov. Joe Manchin, State Supreme Court justice Robin Davis and senate president Earl Ray Tomblin will participate in a ceremony at the State Capitol on Thursday.
The trio will be joined by students from throughout the state participating in the youth in government program who will read the preamble to the constitution and the bill of rights.
The Constitution was signed on Sept. 17, 1787, by members of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia and ratified the following year.
