Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- The Public Employees Insurance Agency is trying to get more people to take advantage of a weight loss program that offers personal trainer, dietitian and other services.

According to the program, about 3,000 of 20,000 eligible PEIA members have so far taken advantage of the weight management program, one of eight initiatives offered by the agency to improve health and wellness.

PEIA insures about 200,000 current and retired state workers and family members.

Department of Administration spokeswoman Diane Holley-Brown says the agency is trying harder to recruit volunteers.

Lalena price has lost 60 pounds since joining the program.

But she says finding information about how to join wasn't easy.
