Changing the Time and Batteries

Saturday night, you can choose between that extra hour of sleep or an extra hour of celebrating Halloween, and along with daylight savings time comes another reminder.

Firefighters say it's important to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors twice a year, and a good time to do that is in the spring and fall when the time changes.

Marietta Fire Chief Tom Dempsey says if you don't have a smoke detector; call the fire department.
