A young girl kidnapped and her mother murdered.

A nation wide man hunt finally comes to an end.

A 11 year old Maryland girl and her father are found in South Carolina.

Police say Timothy Virts and his daughter Caitlyn were located at a motel in Florence, Friday night.

Florence police say the girl was found safe and Virts was taken into custody.

A nationwide amber alert was issued for Caitlyn after her mother, 36-year-old Bobbie Jo Cortez, was found dead in their Maryland home on March 6th.

An arrest warrant was issued for Virts in connection to Cortez's death and the girl's disappearance.

1999 black Dodge Durango, tag number 5AJ4458.

The manhunt lasting more than 24 hours is now over. The amber alert stretched all from Maryland. The 11 year old girl has been found.

WOWK 13 a CBS affiliate from Charleston and Huntington reports that they were found in a hotel in Florence, South Carolina. This is all according to officials from Balitmore County.

Police found 36-year-old Bobbie Jo Cortez's body at her home yesterday near Balitmore. Her daughter 11-year-old Caitlyn Virts was missing. after her Father Timothy Virts abducted her.

Officals say she is in care of local officials and appears to be unharmed.

DUNDALK, Md. (AP) - Baltimore County Police have a warrant charging the father of a missing girl in the death of the girl's mother.

Police announced Friday that they have obtained a warrant charging Timothy Virts, the girl's father, with murder after discovering 36-year-old Bobbie Jo Cortez' body at her Dundalk home a day earlier. Their daughter, 11-year-old Caitlyn Virts, was missing along with her father.

Police spokeswoman Elise Armacost says Caitlyn's twin sister and Cortez' young son, as well as two adults, were living at the home. She says Timothy Virts had also been staying there for the past several weeks.

Maryland State Police sent an Amber Alert for Caitlyn about 90 minutes after Cortez was found and a second was later issued in West Virginia.

The Baltimore County Police Department and the West Virginia State Police are looking for Caitlyn Marie Virts, a white female,11 years
old, 5 feet tall, 80 pounds, and may be wearing glasses.

The child was last seen in Dundalk, Maryland and is believed to be in
extreme danger. Unknown clothing being worn.

Authorities advise the child was likely abducted by the father, Timothy Howard Virts, 6 feet 3 inches, 280 pounds. They may be traveling in a
1999 black Dodge Durango, tag number 5AJ4458.
