Could be a lucky penny day if you just make a wish... and for one local couple, Christmas came early as they celebrated the birth of their baby girl.
Layna Elizabeth came into the world at 6 a.m. on 12-12-12 to Valerie and Eric Ely of Harrisville.
The little one was born at Camden Clark Medical Center and was 6 pounds, 8 ounces and 19 inches long.
Her parents are thrilled at their new addition.
"It's very exciting, it's very original to have a birth date like that and this date was also very special because we didn't know if this was going to be a boy or a girl," says Valerie Ely. "So now I have a son and daughter and a very unique experience."
At Marietta Memorial -- Chris and Megan Craig welcomed little Alisa at 12:40 a.m. on 12-12-12.
