A foggy start in the valley Thursday may have played a key role in a Vienna bicyclist being taken to the hospital after a morning accident.
A little after 8:00 Thursday morning Vienna Police arrived at an accident between a car and a bicycle.
An elderly man was riding his bike down 13th avenue, around 6th street, when he was struck by the car.
The cyclist was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center, but his injuries are unknown right now.
Sergeant Robert Pifer says fog may be to blame.
No citations were given at scene and police are still investigating.
It happened around 8:15 a.m. near the Taco Bell off of Grand Central Avenue Thursday morning.
There is an ambulance on scene.
The extent of the victim's injuries are not known at this time.
